Lowestoft Town went down to a narrow defeat at Peterborough Sports despite a promising first half performance at The Bee Arena.
In the end they were stung by a penalty, an own goal and a breakaway third all in the last 30 minutes.
Jake Reed had put the Blues in front in the 21st minute when the former Dagenham & Redbridge striker refused to be denied.
Reed had seen two earlier efforts go narrowly wide but is was a case of third time lucky as his radar was spot on shortly afterwards with a fine finish.
Peterborough came on strong in the second half and levelled on the hour mark from the penalty spot after goalkeeper Luis Tibbles was adjudged to have fouled a Sports player and Dan Lawlor made no mistake form 12 yards.
A Josh Curry own goal in the 78th minute then put Peterborough in front and as the Blues pushed for an equaliser late on, any home nerves were settled when Maniche Sani made it 3-1 in the 90th minute.
