Lowestoft Vets 7-1 Copplestonians

Lowestoft Vets entertained Copplestonians Vets from Woodbridge at the Amber Dew Events Stadium in their latest pre-season friendly. It took the Vets just 8 minutes to take the lead with Gareth Wright firing home from 20 yards. Johnny Williams added the second on the quarter hour mark. Copplestonians started to settle and came more into the game and pulled a goal back on the stroke of half-time.

Lowestoft restored their 2 goal advantage through Dan Cook in the 53rd minute and Williams returned to the fray to add a 4th in the 70th minute.

With only a bare team available the visitors tired in the closing minutes allowing Lowestoft to add 3 more goals in the final 7 minutes. Williams took his tally to 4 either side of 1 by Les Moyle. Final score Lowestoft Vets 7 Copplestonians 1
