v Billericay Town U19s
The National League U19 Alliance
(Division A)
Wednesday 3 December 2025
Suffolk FA, Barnards Meadow Football Centre, Barnards Way, Lowestoft NR32 2HF
KO: 2pm | Referee: Ady Sannerude
Lowestoft Town U19s nearly again got to play their first home league match at Crown Meadow this afternoon as they hosted Billericay Town U19s.
But a late mid-morning switch saw the match moved to the newly relaid 3G and refreshed facilities at the towns Suffolk FA Barnards Meadow Football Centre which reopened on Monday.
Billericay Town have won three (beating Kings Lynn 3-2, Aveley 4-0 & Southend United 3-1), drawn one (AFC Sudbury 1-1) and lost two (Chelmsford City 0-1 & Bishop’s Stortford 0-3) of their six league fixtures to date and and have 10 points to sit second to Chelmsford City in the league table, and four points ahead of Lowestoft Town, who sit in 7th place with a game in hand over their opponents. Billericay Town have also progressed to the 3rd round of The National League Alliance U19 League Cup where they will face Bishop’s Stortford next week.
Lowestoft Town meanwhile, after their opening 3 league defeats, were looking for a hat trick of league wins after defeating Bishop’s Stortford and Kings Lynn in recent weeks.
Lowestoft kicked off on yet again a bright and sunny afternoon for December with a slight wind blowing from goal to goal.
In the second minute a drop ball in midfield, after a stoppage for a head injury to Corbyn Dixon, saw Lowestoft regain possession and Ashton Blogg sweeps it into a penalty area and finds Corbyn Dixon whose header pulls a fine save from Billericay Town goalkeeper, Thomas Morley, but Dixon was adjudged to have been offside.
Billericay Town have a break on the right hand side of the pitch and (10) Owen Taylor beats two tackles before sliding the ball into the penalty area for (? Kai Torres but his cross eludes everyone in front of goal and drifts out by the corner post for a Lowestoft goal kick.
After 5 minutes good work on the left for Lowestoft Town sees Zak Cutajar finding Corbyn Dixon whose cross is not dealt with by the Billericay Town defence and drops to Archy Gore who turns his defender but sees his shot saved by Thomas Morley’s legs and cleared away.
Billericay Town then break and (7) Henry Page sees his shot deflect off Bailey Sutton into Lowestoft goalkeeper, Jack Trowbridge’s arms.
Another Billericay Town attack is stopped after a foul on Kai Torres by Bailey Sutton just outside the Lowestoft penalty area. The free kick is played short to Owen Taylor, who passes to (4) Alex Summers who in turn finds Henry Page but Pages shot is tame and gathered at the near post by Jack Trowbridge.
A minute later a good run by Kai Torres down the left touch line sees his final ball fired across the goal beyond Jack Trowbridges left hand upright for a goal kick.
On 12 minutes Lowestoft lose the ball and Billericay Town build back towards the Lowestoft Town goal with (9) Choice Omatseye firing his shot high and wide over the crossbar from 18 yards.
A minute later Bailey Sutton is caught late by Kai Torres but only a free kick followed.
Shortly afterwards Torres is spoken to by referee Ady Sannerude after over complaining about a linesman’s call.
On 17 minutes a Lowestoft Town misplaced pass finds (17) Callum Fisher free inside the penalty area but he fires his shot again wide of Jack Trowbridge’s left hand post.
On 21 minutes more good play by Billericay Town sees them break down the left before Lowestoft Town regain possession only to gift it back to Billericay Town with Kai Torres beating 5 defenders to find Owen Taylor but Taylors shot is again saved comfortably by Jack Trowbridge diving low to his left.
Billericay Town continue to press and good play between Owen Taylor, (3) Lucas Deans and Callum Fisher sees the ball find Tommy Ruffle but his shot from 20 yards goes high and wide of Jack Trowbridge’s right hand post.
Billericay Town were having greater possession but had yet to find anything like a threatening finish to punish a so far lacklustre Lowestoft Town performance.
Lowestoft Town move forward with Sammy Tipple crossing left to right to find Riley Eastell who plays the ball wider to Callum Kemp but his cross is easily collected by Thomas Morley.
On 27 minutes attacking play by Lowestoft Town on the right sees Corbyn Dixon float the ball into the penalty area and Thomas Morley punches clear off the head of Archy Gore.
Two minutes later Billericay Town switch the play from left to right which sees Henry Page go round Zak Cutajar and cross across the face of goal but Kai Torres just failed to connect at the far post seeing the ball instead roll out for a goal kick to Lowestoft Town.
More good play from Billericay Town sees Owen Taylor switch the ball out to Henry Page who breaks forward beating two Lowestoft defenders into the penalty area but sees his shot blocked with a last minute sliding lunge by Callum Lake to keep a score at 0-0.
A long ball by (5) Thanasis Karamitsios from within his own penalty area sees the ball over the top of the Lowestoft defence and run onto by Henry Page who lays the ball back to Callum FISHER who slides the ball round Bailey Sutton into the corner of Jack Trowbridge’s goal to give Billericay Town the lead on 32 minutes.
Lowestoft Town 0 - 1 Billericay Town
A goal that was far too easy for Billericay Town to score but they probably deserved their lead on the balance of play.
On 34 minutes Callum Lakes free kick on the right is met by a header from Ashton Blogg on the edge of the only area but lacks power and is gathered easily by Thomas Morley.
On 39 minutes Lowestoft Towns turn to recover the ball with Riley Eastell sliding a quick pass to Corbyn Dixon who repeats the feat getting the ball to Sammy Tipple who lays it into the path of Ashton Blogg who’s 50 yard pass over the top of the Billericay Town defence is controlled by ARCHY GORE who continues his run into the penalty area to slide past Thomas Morley for a Lowestoft equaliser.
Lowestoft Town 1 - 1 Billericay Town
On 44 minutes Lowestoft Town take the lead, good passing play down the right with Callum Kemp, Sammy Tipple and Ashton Blogg seeing the ball back out to Callum Kemp who sends in a low cross to be met in the centre of the goal, 10 yards out, by Corbyn Dixon whose shot is blocked but the loose ball is pounced upon by AIDEN CHIRIMUNJIRI who fires it back past Thomas Morley in the Billericay Town goal.
Lowestoft Town 2 - 1 Billericay Town
Immediately from the restart Henry Page fires from the half way line but Jack Trowbridge dealt with the effort easily.
Half Time:
Lowestoft Town 2 - 1 Billericay Town
A strange half with Billericay Town dominating possession and with Owen Taylor at the centre of all of their best play but they failed to take their chances until taking the lead with just over half an hour played. Lowestoft Town gamely fought their way back into the match with two goals in the final five minutes of the half that had looked largely unlikely during the previous 40 minutes. Much improvement was required to maintain the lead for the second half.
Billericay Town kicked off the second half as the temperature dropped rapidly.
Billericay Town started with two substitutions with Choice Omatseye and Tommy Ruffle being replaced by (11) Bobby Benmore and (14) Noah Hayes. Benmore was the leagues leading scorer at the start of play and therefore a surprise to see on the bench.
Billericay Town continued to manage the opening minutes of the second half again without really threatening Jack Trowbridge’s goal.
On 52 minutes a long ball from Ashton Blogg finds Archy Gore who breaks free and rounds Morley only to see his effort cleared off the line by a Billericay Town defender and from the loose ball Sammy Tipple follows up but fires over the crossbar from 18 yards out.
In the 56th minute Lowestoft Town gain a free kick when Kai Torres’s wild challenge on Corbyn Dixon this time sees him receive a caution from the referee.
Ashton Bloggs free kick clears everyone in the penalty area but the ball is recovered by Corbyn Dixon by the right touch line and he moves towards the goal line but is tackled by Owen Taylor and Henry Page and they all hit the floor with Taylor rising to push Dixon with the ball going out for a Lowestoft corner. Meanwhile the pushing and shoving continues as others from both sides joined the melee and ending with referee Ady Sannerude cautioning all theee instigators; Taylor and Page for Billericay and Dixon for Lowestoft.
From Sammy Tipple’s corner the ball was just too high for Bailey Sutton, going out for a goal kick.
On the hour mark Lowestoft Town then make a double change with Harvey Gooch and Sam Howell coming on to replace Sammy Tipple and Riley Eastell.
On 65 minutes Callum Lake breaks down a Billericay Town attack and comes away with the ball finding Corbyn Dixon just in his own half and he’s clattered by Kai Torres who receives a second caution and is Sent Off by referee Ady Sannerude.
Before play restarts Corbyn Dixon is replaced by Luca Upton.
From the free kick Ashton Blogg plays the ball down the wing towards Callum Kemp but it is cleared for a corner by Bobby Benmore. The corner from Callum Lake is just heading wide off Bailey Sutton but defected for a corner on the other side which comes to nothing for Lowestoft Town.
Lowestoft Town then earn another corner but before it can be taken Billericay Towns Lucas Deans is sent off by referee Ady Sannerude presumably for something he said to the referee.
Before play restarts Billericay Town manager Stuart Slater is then cautioned by the referee for entering and then refusing to leave the field of play. Then a further wait as the sent off players leave the playing field perimeter.
Lowestoft Town then introduce a fourth substitute with Gabe Hind coming on for Archie Gore and for Billericay Town Jaden Miller replaces Harry Marshall.
In the 67th minute Luca Upton forces Thomas Morley into a quick pass some thirty yards from his goal and it falls to Gabe Hind who beats a covering defender but his lob over the recovering Morley goes over the cross bar.
A long through ball from Billericay Town sees Jack Trowbridge race out of his area to clear the danger for a throw in.
From the throw in Billericay Town win a free kick but Noah Hayes effort is too strong and flies over Jack Trowbridge’s crossbar.
In the 81st minute Sam Howell wins the ball and sends Luca Upton free from the half way line but Billericay Town defenders recover and the ball rolls to Thomas Morley.
At the other end Owen Taylor does well to keep possession on the edge of the area but ends with a tame shot at Jack Trowbridge.
In the 86th minute Aiden Chirimunjiri is caught late by Alex Summers for a Lowestoft Town free kick some 30 yards from goal but Ashton Bloggs effort sails over Morley’s crossbar.
From the goal kick the ball is won and headed forwards by Bailey Sutton to find Luca Upton who turns and lays the ball to the left into SAM HOWELL and Howell dinks it over the goalkeeper from eight yards to guarantee Lowestoft the points and increase their lead.
Lowestoft Town 3 - 1 Billericay Town
Despite being down to nine men Billericay Town continued to push forward without causing any further serious defensive issues for Lowestoft Town who themselves will rue not taking greater advantage of their numerical supremacy.
Full Time:
Lowestoft Town 3 - 1 Billericay Town
My Man of the Match: Callum KEMP
A strange performance by Lowestoft Town this afternoon as they failed to meet previous standards of both pressing and passing and it was not against the run of play when Billericay Town took the lead after 30 minutes. Showing their more normal resilience the young Trawlerboys fought back to go 2-1 ahead just before half time and sealed the win in the final minutes after Billericay Town had been reduced to nine men.
The win promotes Lowestoft two places in Division A to fifth on nine points equal but just below Enfield Town on goal difference and a point behind second and third placed Bishop’s Stortford and Billericay Town respectively on ten points. Chelmsford City continue at the summit with 18 points.
That was the final match of a highly entertaining 2025 and we resume on 14 January 2026 with a trip to currently bottom placed Aveley.
Thanks to all supporters who’ve popped along on a Wednesday afternoon to cheer on the boys.
