Lowestoft Town U19's host Chelmsford City U19's
MATCH PREVIEW
Lowestoft Town U19s are back at the Fosters Solicitors Community Stadium this week to take on Chelmsford City U19s in the National Youth Alliance division. This match will be Lowestoft's fifteenth of the season, following an impressive unbeaten run in their last seven games. It’s been over a month since the young Blues last played in the league, with their most recent outing being a fantastic away victory against Billericay Town. Since then, the team has played a friendly against Gorleston FC and enjoyed an 11-day fully funded tour in Spain.
THE OPPONENTS
Chelmsford City boasts an excellent youth development system, with over five of their U19 players featuring in the first team in the National League South this season. Last year, Chelmsford finished as runners-up in the league, narrowly missing out on the title due to goal difference. This season, they are determined to go one better. Currently in third place, level on points with the Trawlerboys but with a game in hand, they are just four points behind league leaders Southend United, who they also have two games in hand on. Chelmsford are on a 10-match winning streak in the league and have the best defensive record in the division, showcasing their strength and setting the stage for an exciting matchup with the young Blues. Key players Taylor Legg, Jett Murphy, and Lester Ward, who have collectively scored 35 goals across all competitions, will be looking to add to their impressive tally.
