Preparations continue to gather momentum for both our Under-18s and Under-19s, with the Young Trawlerboys now entering their second week of pre-season.

Both groups are looking in a really positive place as they continue to develop on and off the pitch, with attention now turning towards a busy schedule of pre-season fixtures and the start of the competitive campaign.

Impressive Opening Victory

The Under-19s got their pre-season fixtures underway on Wednesday evening, travelling to face Needham Market U18s in their opening friendly of the summer.

The Young Trawlerboys produced an excellent performance, running out 6-1 winners in an encouraging display that reflected the hard work the group has put in throughout pre-season so far.

A big thank you to Luke Betts and everyone at Needham Market FC for their hospitality, and we'd like to wish the club every success for the season ahead.

Updated Pre-Season Schedule

Following a number of cancellations from opposition, our pre-season fixture schedule has been updated.

PSF2 - Waveney FC First Team (H). Tuesday 11th August, 7:45pm, Crown Meadow.
PSF3 - Ipswich Town (A). Friday 14th August, 1:00pm, St Joseph's College, Ipswich.
PSF4 - Walsham Le Willows (H). Friday 21st August, 7:45pm, Crown Meadow.
PSF5 - Dereham Town (H). Monday 24th August, 7:45pm, Crown Meadow.
PSF6 - US Sports Scholarships (H). Thursday 27th August, 2:00pm, Crown Meadow.

We look forward to welcoming Waveney FC First Team to Crown Meadow on Tuesday evening in what promises to be another excellent test for our young squad. Supporters are encouraged to come along and watch, with free entry and a 7:45pm kick-off.

League Fixtures Confirmed

We're also delighted to confirm that the 2026/27 National League U19 Alliance fixtures have now been released.

After recording a joint runners-up finish last season, the Young Blues will be aiming to go one step further this campaign.

The season begins on Wednesday 9th September, as we welcome Barking FC to Crown Meadow for a 2:00pm kick-off.

FA Youth Cup Reminder

Before the league campaign begins, attention will first turn to the FA Youth Cup Preliminary Round.

Our Under-18s will host Downham Market at Crown Meadow on Wednesday 2nd September, with kick-off at 7:45pm, as they begin another exciting FA Youth Cup campaign.
