Lowestoft Town will be intent on bouncing back as they face a crucial spell of seven games in the next 35 days.
After picking up an important away point following a 1-1 draw at Witham Town on March 10, The Trawlerboys suffered a disappointing defeat in the all-Suffolk derby at Crown Meadow last Saturday.
Prince Mutswunguma gave visitors Newmarket Town a 15th minute lead, before defender Bailey Sutton scored his first senior goal for The Trawlerboys as he headed home a 24th minute equaliser.
But a defensive error gifted The Jockeys the points after the interval, as Finley Whiteley benefited to score a 55th minute winner.
The defeat, coupled with results elsewhere, meant that Lowestoft slipped into the Pitching In Isthmian League North Division relegation places.
They are now 19th in the league table, with 34 points from 35 league games as 18th placed Mildenhall, 17th placed Takeley and 16th placed Grays are now two, three and four points respectively ahead of The Trawlerboys.
With two games remaining in March, and five to follow in April, it is still all to play for - as Lowestoft visit bottom of the table Brantham Athletic tomorrow (March 21).
A trip to 15th placed Walthamstow - who are eight points ahead of Lowestoft - follows next Saturday, March 28.
Three home games and two away matches then follow in the space of 21 days in April, starting against 11th placed Tilbury at Crown Meadow on April 4.
On Monday, April 6 Lowestoft will head to Suffolk rivals and league leaders Felixstowe & Walton United away.
Lowestoft will host 20th placed Heybridge Swifts - who are currently six points behind them - at Crown Meadow on Saturday, April 11, before a visit to 16th placed Grays Athletic on Saturday, April 18.
The season ends with a home encounter against 13th placed Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday, April 25.
Goalkeeper Ethan Binnie has returned to Norwich City after his loan spell ended this week.
