240-mile round trip to Bedfordshire awaits Andy Reynolds men

A hectic festive spell followed by five games in 13 days in the New Year lies in store for Lowestoft Town as they prepare to return to the pitch.

After another blank weekend of action last Saturday, The Trawlerboys are set to embark on a very busy period ahead - with nine league games due to played in the space of 31 days.

It will see four games played in 14 days this month - including a Boxing Day derby day clash away at Leiston.

Another all-Suffolk derby will kickstart 2025 in style, as Lowestoft host AFC Sudbury at the Fosters Solicitors Community Stadium on Wednesday, January 1 (New Year's Day).

Two home games and two away trips then follow in a 10-day spell in early January, which is currently scheduled to see The Trawlerboys play seven games next month.

After a 2-2 home draw with Biggleswade Town on Tuesday, December 3, The Trawlerboys scheduled home game last Saturday with Alvechurch was postponed due to the visitors progression in the FA Trophy.

This has now been rescheduled for the Fosters Solicitors Community Stadium on Tuesday, January 14.

A further fixture change this week has seen Lowestoft's home game versus Stamford now rearranged for Tuesday, January 7.

After an unbeaten week of action last time out for Andy Reynolds' men, The Trawlerboys had moved up to 15th in the Southern League Premier Central Division table.

However, results elsewhere over the past week has seen Lowestoft slip to 17th - but just three points separate The Trawlerboys and ninth placed AFC Sudbury.

Lowestoft head out on their travels again tomorrow (Saturday, December 14) with an away game at eighth placed Bedford Town, who are five points ahead having played a game more.

The 240-mile round trip to Bedfordshire to face The Eagles tomorrow comes ahead of a home game next Saturday, December 21 against St Ives Town, the Boxing Day bonanza on Thursday, December 26 away at Leiston (with an earlier 1pm kick off) and a home game on Saturday, December 28 against Barwell completing the month's action.
