Now though it is back to the bread and butter of league football and a visit to Harrow Borough. Harrow are the only Ryman League side to have defeated the Blues at the Meadow this season when they snatched victory with two late goals after the Blues had missed a host of chances. Lowestoft should have Greg Crane and Jake Jessup back in contention after serving suspensions but Stuart Ainsley misses out as he serves a one match ban.
The draw for the quarter finals of the Alan Boon Cup was made during the week and the Blues have been favoured with a home tie against Canvey Island. The tie is scheduled for Tuesday 17th January meaning another re-arrangement for their visit to Hastings
The Youth team visited Dereham Town Youth on Tuesday evening. The Magpies have a 100% record in the Ridgeons League this season but the Young Blues produced one of their best performances to date and were close to breaking that record before falling to an odd goal of three defeat. Kyle Godbold scored the Young Blues goal. That ends the Youngsters programme for 2011.
The Ladies were without a fixture last weekend and on Sunday travel to Brantham Athletic Ladies in their final league game of 2011.
