
A vital six games remain for Lowestoft Town FC as they look to climb out of the relegation places.
The Trawlerboys suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat away at bottom of the table Brantham Athletic last Saturday.
Chinnery's 23rd minute goal proved to be the difference between the two sides - although Connor Deeks had hit the upright early on for Lowestoft.
The defeat, coupled with results elsewhere, means that Lowestoft remain in the Pitching In Isthmian League North Division relegation places.
They are 19th in the league table, with 34 points from 36 league games but two of the three teams above them increased the advantage over the past week.
Mildenhall are still in 18th place just above Lowestoft, as they remain two points ahead of The Trawlerboys.
Takeley and Grays have now swapped places in the table, with 17th placed Grays now four points ahead of The Trawlerboys, while 16th placed Takeley are now nine points ahead of the Blues having won twice in the past week.
Lowestoft will be on their travels once more tomorrow (Saturday) as they look to bounce back.
The Trawlerboys kickstart a crucial spell of six games in the space of 28 days that will decide their fate.
It begins with a trip to 14th placed Walthamstow - who are 11 points ahead of Lowestoft - tomorrow (Saturday, March 28).
Three home games and two away matches then follow in the space of 21 days in April, starting against 11th placed Tilbury at Crown Meadow on April 4.
On Monday, April 6 Lowestoft will head to Suffolk rivals and league leaders Felixstowe & Walton United away.
Lowestoft will then host 21st placed Heybridge Swifts - who are currently six points behind them - at Crown Meadow on Saturday, April 11, before a visit to 17th placed Grays Athletic on Saturday, April 18.
The season ends with a home encounter against 13th placed Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday, April 25.
