Lowestoft Town FC unveil new volunteer directors to club board

Lowestoft Town FC are planning for the future with four new volunteer directors set to join the board.

With the club being run solely by volunteers, a call went out in May for new recruits to "bring new skills to the board" as part of plans to "help shape an exciting future".

As "new volunteer directors" were sought, at the time a club spokesman said: "This will help improve and expand the great work that has been done and take us forward."

With the voluntary community club - which is not owned - launching a recruitment process for new board directors back then, club officials have hailed the responses received.

And with four new recruits soon to be taking up their roles, subject to FA ratification, club officials hailed their expertise and "extensive CVs" that will prove "key" in helping Lowestoft Town FC in the future.

From major employers locally, regionally, nationally and internationally - the new recruits have worked with Amazon or are CEOs and chairman of major businesses.

A club spokesman said: "We are really pleased to recruit four new directors to our voluntary board.

"It is really exciting times.

"They all have extensive CV’s and key attributes and we have managed to recruit some of the highest calibre people we could have locally to help the club."

With all having a passion for football, combined with their major skills, business and finance experience, all are keen to give something back to the community.

The club spokesman added: "This is a real positive.

"It is great to have these new recruits, who are all knowledgeable about the club, supporting the great work of the existing board members."

A warm Trawlerboys welcome goes out to the following:
