Officials at Lowestoft Town FC have expressed delight after sealing a new loan signing.
The Trawlerboys have swooped to seal the signing of talented teenage defender Alfie Doy, on a youth loan deal.
The centre half, who is capable of playing across the back four, joins Andy Reynolds' men following the recent knee injury to centre half Josh Hazell that has kept him out of action with treatment ongoing.
Having just turned 19, Doy is a ball playing defender who made his Norwich U18 debut as a 15-year-old back in 2021 against Sunderland.
Having been with the Canaries since he was U10, and having previously played youth football for Sheringham, Doy signed on with the Carrow Road club an apprentice in July 2022, before signing his first professional contract with Norwich in July 2024.
Blue boss Andy Reynolds said: "We are still being led by the hospital on Josh Hazell's knee injury.
"So we have brought in a defender in Alfie Doy on a youth loan from Norwich City, who is able to cover defensively across the back given we were short of cover from Josh's injury."
The teenager is expected to be part of The Trawlerboys squad for their home encounter against sixth placed Stamford at the Fosters Solicitors Community Stadium tomorrow (3pm KO, Saturday, November 23).
Welcome Alfie - we can't wait for The Trawlerboys to cheer you on in a blue shirt.
