Marsden returns to the Crown Meadow

Joe Marsden has returned to the Crown Meadow after impressing during pre-season and agreeing a two year contract with the Trawlerboys.

Joe Marsden has agreed a two year contract with Lowestoft Town after impressing the management team during pre-season.

Marsden played for Lowestoft Town as part of the youth team for three years and has since played senior football at Acle United, Dereham Town and Gorleston before joining Wroxham for two years.

Speaking to Joe after today's match against Wroxham, he said
"I was here for three years in the youth team and have played senior football since then. Last last year with Wroxham I felt that I really took off as a player and it's a massive opportunity for me to play a couple of steps higher than I played last year. I feel that I did well enough last season to warrant trying at another level and it's a big opportunity for me."

The Lowestoft Town squad is already taking shape for the challenge of Conference Football next season and Marsden is happy for the opportunity and already set himself a target, stating;
"There are players here that have played at even higher levels and to work with the likes of Chappo, Ady and Fleming is a great opportunity to hopefully do well and keep progressing.
My first target will be to try and shift someones place and get in the starting eleven but obviously that will only come through working hard and hopefully if I get my chance I will take it. So that's the first personal target but obviously it's a team game and the club need a big squad, so I'm just happy to be here and challenging for a place to be honest and will take it from there".

Everyone at Lowestoft Town Football Club would like to welcome Joe Marsden back to the club and wish him all the best in his progression as a Lowestoft Town player.
