Dave Carolan Leaves Lowestoft Town

Dave Carolan Leaves Lowestoft Town

Terry Bullen6 Feb 2014 - 20:22

After 5 ½ successful years, Dave Carolan has left his position within the management team of Lowestoft Town.

An increase in commitments to his successful Sports App business have placed additional demands on Dave’s time and now, he felt, was the right time to take his leave of Lowestoft Town.

Having initially aided The Trawlerboys during their run to the FA Vase Final at Wembley in 2008, Carolan committed himself to working with the Blues from the Summer of 2008 until mid-January 2014, a period which has seen unparalleled success for the club. With responsibility for developing and maintaining the conditioning levels of the players, the fitness of the Lowestoft squad was envy of many clubs in the non-league pyramid.

Following back-to-back promotions from the Ridgeons League and Ryman League (North) as Champions, the next three seasons saw Lowestoft team finish 4th, 3rd and 2nd respectively in the table and advancing to the playoff finals.

Dave Carolan told www.lowestofttownfc.co.uk “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Trawlerboys. What we as a management team have achieved alongside the players over the last 5 ½ years is testament to the hard work and commitment of everyone at the club. For my part I have enjoyed every minute of my time at The Crown Meadow, and each year we have progressed to new levels.

I would like to place on record my thanks to Gary Keyzor for all he has done to support our work with the team and to all the players who have bought into what we were trying to achieve. Most especially though to Mick, Ady and Craig who have worked tirelessly to develop the players, team and club, with their knowledge, un-questionable commitment and good humour. I wish everyone at the club all the best for the rest of the season and beyond".

The remaining management team at Lowestoft Town Football Club commentated that although they understand and support Dave's decision, it's very sad to see him leave the club after playing an integral part in its recent success and development.
Dave's professionalism, integrity and unwavering high standards, along with his enthusiasm and sense of humour has made him a popular figure around the club.
Dave has made an outstanding contribution during the most successful period in the clubs history.
Along with the players, back-room staff, chairman and everyone involved at the football club, we would like to thank Dave for his wonderful contribution and express our gratitude for the excellent work that he has done. Although we are extremely sad to see him go, we would like to wish Dave continued success and with his new projects.
