Lowestoft Town Football Club Launches New Community Trust to Inspire Health, Fitness, and a Lifelong Love of Sport

We believe in giving back to the community that supports us. Football has the power to bring people together, and through the Trust, we aim to make a lasting difference in the lives of local people.
- Stacey McClaren, Director

Lowestoft Town Football Club is proud to announce the official launch of the Lowestoft Town FC Community Trust, a new initiative designed to deepen the club’s roots within the local community and use the power of football to inspire positive change. Lowestoft Town FC Community Trust is in the early stages of applying for charitable registration to support its long-term goals in the community. We are keen to begin our work and will initially operate under the limited company of Lowestoft Town Football Club.

The Community Trust will deliver a range of engaging and inclusive programmes focused on promoting health, fitness, wellbeing, and a lifelong passion for sport. The Trust will work closely with local schools, families, and community groups to provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved.

“We’re incredibly excited to launch the Lowestoft Town FC Community Trust,” said Stacey McClaren, Director at Lowestoft Town FC. “We believe in giving back to the community that supports us. Football has the power to bring people together, and through the Trust, we aim to make a lasting difference in the lives of local people.”

The Trust’s core areas of focus will include:

Holiday Football Camps: Fun, active sessions for young people during school breaks to stay fit, learn new skills, and make friends.
Weekly Player Development Sessions: Coaching designed to nurture and support young footballers in a structured, positive environment.
Delivery of FA and National Initiatives: Supporting grassroots football and inclusive programmes in line with national objectives.
School Partnerships: Working with local schools to provide high-quality coaching, sports education, and enrichment activities.

The Community Trust will be led by qualified coaches and community workers with a passion for youth development, wellbeing, and inclusion.

“This is about more than football,” added Stacey McClaren. “It’s about helping young people grow in confidence, make healthy choices, and find joy in sport—on and off the pitch.”

We will be releasing more exciting news in the coming weeks, including our Summer programme of events that include a host of FREE opportunities for the community to get involved.

We are also welcoming local businesses and organisations who want to join with us for our journey to get in touch and start exploring how we can collaborate.
