The club are delighted to announce that our U13, 14, 15 & 16 teams will all compete in the newly formed Junior Premier League East (JPL) during the upcoming season.

The Centre of Excellence will expand this season as it enters two additional squads who will add to the age groups that represented LTFC in the Eastern Junior Alliance competition last season. As we grow our youth football provision at the club, competing in the JPL will continue to improve the experience and opportunities we are able to offer local players as they develop through the age groups. The JPL is a Saturday competition and our teams will play at Barnards Meadow & Crown Meadow throughout the season, meaning supporters will be able to get their Saturday football fix every week!

Leading on the Academy development for the club is Andy Reynolds, he had his say on the change of league for the CoE teams, "As we continue to grow our youth programme its important we are always looking at how we make the experiences as beneficial as they can be. The EJA has been a good step in the right direction for the players in the area this year and we know those involved have benefitted, no, as we grow and slightly alter the provision it will be even more accessible to many more of the talented local players and the JPL move will be another step up, and forward, for everyone in the programme. Whats was great recognition for the work we are only really beginning, is that the league approached us with the opportunity towards the end of 2019, after some discussions and a positive meeting with some of the areas big clubs and football programmes it became clear this opportunity aligns with our aim of being a truly elite but development focussed programme that puts players first. Another huge development for the club is Keith Webb joining as Head of Coaching. Keith will bring so much experience to the Academy. It's a role that few clubs at our level have, let alone some who has worked at the level of Keith, so I am excited to see that develop. We have started to redeploy our current staff across the programme and have positive conversations with new staff, so that we come back from the lengthy lay off ready to kick on again".
