Senior players are set to step up and lead Lowestoft Town FC as they prepare for a crucial home fixture.
It comes after the club's first team coaching staff all left en masse this week.
Long-serving former player, club official and manager Andy Reynolds resigned on Wednesday along with his coaching team of David Coyle, Chris Bond and Cion Wren.
The resignations were announced by the club's board of directors on Wednesday evening, with the search for permanent replacements under way.
But in the interim, and with games coming thick and fast as Lowestoft gear up for a busy spell of seven Pitching In Isthmian League North Division matches in the space of 28 days from tomorrow, the squad's senior players will take charge for the next Crown Meadow clash while "long-term replacements" are sought.
Without a win in the league since a 3-0 home triumph against Grays Athletic on November 15, The Trawlerboys have suffered six defeats, three draws and an abandonment in the past 10 games - which has seen them drop to 19th in the league table.
The Trawlerboys will be searching for some home comforts as they look to end a winless run that is approaching 11 weeks.
And it will be an initial baptism of fire for the senior squad players in the interim managerial roles tomorrow, as The Trawlerboys face high-fliers Waltham Abbey at Crown Meadow.
The Abbotts, who are based in Essex, are currently third in the table.
In their past five matches this month, they have won one game, drawn twice and lost twice.
Lowestoft will however be buoyed by a fine showing at second placed Maldon & Tiptree last Saturday, where they deserved more than the narrow 2-1 defeat after a battling display.
Mitch Belmar gave Lowestoft an interval lead after latching on Rob Eagle's fine ball to convert in the 45th minute.
But two second half goals from former league striker Freddie Sears (52, 75) saw the home side eventually triumph 2-1 in a game where Lowestoft deserved something more.
New Lowestoft signing Lennon Thompson, a young exciting winger who has joined from Wroxham, made his debut at Maldon.
The former Norwich City youngster has featured at step 4 this season from the bench for Wroxham and made his Trawlerboys debut for 40 minutes before he was withdrawn after suffering a knock.
With 16 league games remaining, and a call to all supporters to back the blues, ahead of tomorrow's game, a club spokesman said: "Our first team will be led by senior squad players for tomorrow's match with Waltham Abbey.
"Our discussions are ongoing with long-term replacements for our departed coaching staff."
Lowestoft will be without defender Harvey Peters after the talented young centre back joined AFC Sudbury on Friday.
Next month, the Trawlerboys are now due to play six scheduled league games in the space of 21 days in February, as four home matches and two away games are earmarked.
It starts on Saturday, February 7 away at Witham Town, before the previously postponed home clash at Crown Meadow against Walthamstow now takes place on Tuesday, February 10 (7.45pm KO).
Another home game follows on Saturday, February 14 as a Valentines Day treat sees Lowestoft host Downham Town at Crown Meadow.
Lowestoft then host Mildenhall in the rescheduled clash at Crown Meadow on Tuesday, February 17.
A trip to Redbridge follows on Saturday, February 21 before the month is scheduled to end on Saturday, February 28 as Lowestoft entertain Concord Rangers at Crown Meadow.
