As a club we owe a huge amount to Chris for the work he has put in to growing the Academy to the what it is today and we will no doubt miss his contributions going forward. Thank you and enjoy your break from the additional admin!

Academy Manager, Andy Reynolds said "We can't replace Chris, we can only try to cover the work he has done and continues to do so we function. Simply put, I think he has been the biggest contributor to the Academies existence to date. Many other clubs have large committees of volunteers overseeing the same volume of work that Bondy has learned to cover and with support from Myself and the rest of the Academy staff we have been able to produce an Academy programme I hope he is really proud of. He will be far to modest to acknowledge his own contributions but I am sure the players and parents will all join me in acknowledging them for him".

Bondy has overseen the growth of the Academy from a couple of teams in a league to 9 Academy teams and a Reserve Team across 5 different leagues. His work has previously seen him win Suffolk FA's Volunteer of the Year. Now a Football Development Officer for Suffolk FA, he will continue to have a great impact on local football and be a regular on training nights being based at one of our training and match venues Barnards Meadow.
