Lowestoft Town's attentions will now turn to the Isthmian League North Division campaign after their participation in the national cup competitions came to a halt for another season.
The Trawlerboys bowed out of the FA Trophy last Saturday after a tough clash with fellow league side Waltham Abbey.
The defeat had come after Lowestoft's young guns had showed great resilience in their previous two Isthmian League North Division matches as they battled back from being behind in both games to collect two points after successive 2-2 draws.
The second round qualifying tie of the Isuzu FA Trophy last Saturday saw Lowestoft facing another trip to Essex for national cup action.
Andy Reynolds men were pitted with a difficult task against fellow Pitching In Isthmian League North Division side Waltham Abbey, who are in seventh place in the league table and unbeaten thus far in the league.
The Abbotts led 2-0 at the interval, with a crucial second goal scored in first half injury time.
They increased their lead in the 52nd minute before Lowestoft substitute Henry Pollock reduced the arrears, as his drive following a corner was deflected home.
But a fourth goal from the hosts in the 75th minute sealed victory.
Speaking after Saturday's defeat, Blues boss Andy Reynolds said: "Congratulations to Waltham and good luck in the next round.
"We go out against a very good side and can't have any complaints.
"I'm comfortable no one has let us down but equally we haven't done enough to be close to winning.
"So we dust ourselves down and work hard this week ahead of next Saturday."
The Blues boss praised the travelling Trawlerboys contingent for backing them all the way once more.
Lowestoft complete September's action with a rearranged home league encounter at Crown Meadow tomorrow Saturday, September 27 (3pm KO).
The Trawlerboys were scheduled to play Witham Town, but due to their involvement in the FA Cup it has led to a rescheduled Suffolk derby against Brantham Athletic.
The Blue Imps are currently bottom of the table with one point from their seven league games, with their most recent game at home against Tilbury last Tuesday evening abandoned due to floodlight failure.
Lowestoft - who are now 12th in the table with nine points from seven league games - were scheduled to travel to Waltham Abbey to face the Abbotts in the league next Saturday, October 4, but this match has now been postponed with Waltham's cup progress.
This league clash has now been rescheduled to Tuesday, November 4, 7.45pm kick off.
It means, as it stands, Lowestoft will be without a game next Saturday, October 4.
But a run of three successive home games at Crown Meadow continues on Tuesday, October 7 as The Trawlerboys face another rescheduled league match as they host 14th placed Witham Town, who are two points behind Lowestoft with a game in hand.
Lowestoft are also at home on Saturday, October 11 against joint league leaders Maldon and Tiptree, who are second on goal difference.
A quick reunion with The Greens then follows - as Lowestoft head to face fellow joint league leaders Gorleston, who are fourth on goal difference, on Wednesday, October 15, 7.45pm KO.
Three further league clashes are currently scheduled to be played after this in October, with two matches away and one at home ending a busy month of action.
