A sustained spell of pressure from the visitors is finally rewarded when the excellent Glover saves from close range in the Lowestoft goal but can do nothing to stop the rebound being fired in low from Crane.

With Lowestoft looking like the heroics of their keeper had earned them a point, the home faithful were sent wild with an unexpected winner for the Trawlerboys, two minutes into the three minutes of stoppage time. Smith delivered from the left and with Cole seeing his effort come back off the woodwork and go across goal, Rossi Jarvis was at hand to sneak in a deflected winner through a crowded area and in off the post.

Lowestoft Town have the welcomed pleasure of no midweek match and will return to action next Saturday, when they turn their attentions to the FA Trophy and a first round qualifying match at home to Dulwich Hamlet.
