Lowestoft Town went into the match with an unchanged starting eleven and the only change coming on the bench with the returning Spillane replacing Joel Glover. Dulwich Hamlet, who had beaten the Trawlerboys 3-0 just a few weeks earlier in the league, included new loan signing Karagiannis from Maidstone United.

With Lowestoft looking like they’d cleared the danger, Karagiannis picked up the ball and got to the touchline before blasting an inch perfect strike into the net from the tightest of angles for a great debut goal.

1-1 Lowestoft Town Goal (66 mins)
A cross into a dangerous area by Blake-Tracy was only partially cleared and with Adam Smith lurking on the edge of the penalty area, he drilled a low effort home to deservedly level up the match.

2-1 Dulwich Hamlet Goal (78 mins)
A floated delivery into the box from the left wing was met by a rising Carr, who flicked a deft header up and over Glover in the Lowestoft goal to restore the lead for the visitors.

Lowestoft Town Penalty Denied (90+ mins)
As the match entered stoppage time a cross from the right by Lowestoft was met with cries of ‘handball’ from the players and home supporters, and with the linesman signalling for a penalty it looked like the Trawlerboys had got a lifeline to grab a draw. However, much to the disappointment and disbelief of the home contingent, the referee ignored the well-positioned linesman and bizarrely overruled the decision.

An energetic and strong performance offensively and defensively as part of a strong Lowestoft rear-guard showing, against a pacey and big side.
Closely followed by Smith, who scored a good goal and put in another great midfield display.

Lowestoft Town now only remain in the Suffolk Premier Cup, in terms of cup competitions and will turn their attentions back to Ryman Premier League action this Tuesday when Billericay Town visit Crown Meadow (7:45pm kick-off).
