Lowestoft Town named trialists Josh Glover (goalkeeper), Joel Glover (forward) and Harley Black (midfielder) in their squad in a testing match against National League outfit Braintree Town, in which the blues put in a solid showing and were only denied a great result by two late goals. Braintree Town were also lucky not to have been forced to played the last third of the match with ten men, with Cheek kicking out at Fisk for what would have been a certain straight red if not for the match being a friendly.
