Ladies in action on Sunday at Crown Meadow

Lowestoft Town welcome King's Lynn Soccer Club to Crown Meadow in their latest Norfolk Women and Girls League Division One Clash on Sunday 1st November 2pm.

Before the match there will be a minutes silence in memory of the late Bungay Town Groundsman Richard Allen who died suddenly this week. Many of the current Lowestoft Town Ladies squad are ex Bungay Town players and always received warm kindness and support from Richard. The period of silence will give the club the opportunity to show our respects prior to kick off.

Following last weekends postponement vs Costessey due to the storm conditions that battered the majority of the country, Lowestoft are eager to get going again.

The fixture will see a battle of 2nd vs 3rd in the table with both Lowestoft and Kings Lynn the only 100% teams in the division both having played three and won three so far sitting behind leaders Costessey Sports who are on 10 points having played four, won three and drawn one.

With Costessey Sports scheduled home fixture vs Mulbarton being moved from Sunday to 21st February the battle between Lowestoft and Kings Lynn will represent the game in hand on the leaders Costessey.

The carrot dangling over this game for both clubs is a chance to top of the table. A win for either on the day will see either Lowestoft or Kings Lynn climb to the summit and have a two point lead on their nearest rivals after four games.

Kings Lynn are a side full of quality and have collected their nine points in stunning fashion so far beating Sprowston, Aylsham and Hickling 3-2, 5-2 and 5-1 respectively.

Lowestoft equally come in full of confidence having beat Mulbarton, Shrublands and UEA to collect their nine points from three games.

This is a game to really look forward and the team would appreciate any support at Crown Meadow to help the Ladies get the win and reach the top of the table.

Entry is free with kick off at 2pm at Crown Meadow.
