Lowestoft Town Vets 3-8 Oulton Broad
Lowestoft Town Veterans lose 8-3 to Oulton Broad in their latest pre-season friendly.
The Vets had a much smaller squad available for their second pre-season friendly against local Saturday League side Oulton Broad.
After a goalless first half of missed chances the second half saw a flurry of goals. Oulton Broad took the lead when a shot took a wicked deflection to leave Simon Mcalone flat footed. Simon Durrant levelled the scores for the Vets. Broad then added two quick goals but the Vets again hit back with a brace by Johnny Williams.
With the Vets tiring against their much younger opponents, Oulton Broad added another 5 goals in the last 20 minutes. The final score of Vets 3 Oulton Broad 8 was flattering for the victors.
Next Sunday the Vets take on Copplestonian for their first run out against anothet veterans side. Kick off 2pm at the Amber Dew Events Stadium.
