Lowestoft u19’s travelled away to Barking this afternoon trying to pick up their first win of the season! After being unlucky not to get something two weeks ago, they were urging to pick something up! It didn’t start well for the blues when conceding an early goal against the run of play. The boys stuck together and when a ball was put in a dangerous area just before half time, Cion Wren was brought down and stepped up to put Lowestoft even at the break ! After having most of the play In the first half they came out with lots of confidence and after winning a free kick just outside the area, Cole Overy slotted the ball into the bottom corner to put the boys in front! They managed the game well and when the chance came about to extend their lead, they grabbed it with both hands, Marley Naunton scoring a fine half volley from inside the area to make it 3-1 to the young blues! A great result for the U19 side who have worked hard throughout this pre season and deservedly have got their first win of the season!
