First half was a steep learning curve for the Lowestoft boys against an Ipswich team with much more experience together and 2nd year scholars, but maybe a 0-7 half-time scoreline was harsh.
Some adjustment at the break saw a much even 2nd half and four well-taken goals were shared, meaning the boys came off at 90 minutes in much better heart and some confidence to take into next weeks start of league campaign against Bishop Stortford. Further training together before then should see more progress but of course, the measure of success is not results on pitch but breaking into first team football for these hopefuls in the future.
