Lowestoft Town FC are proud to announce that this season's U18 team have been entered into the FA Youth Cup.
With 546 clubs entering England’s most prestigious competition for U18s this term, Lowestoft are back amongst the nation's elite - with 179 ties being played in the preliminary round in September.
Last season’s Youth Cup came to a thrilling conclusion with Liverpool lifting the trophy after a penalty shootout victory over Manchester City.
And following the preliminary round draw at Wembley, Lowestoft U18 face an away game against Saffron Walden Town in ties to be played week commencing Monday, September 2.
With confirmation that Lowestoft's youth set up has returned to the elite, Blues assistant manager Andy Reynolds said: "It is great for our young players to be in the competition again.
"The opportunity it can present young lads outside of pro clubs is fantastic.
"Previously Lowestoft Town FC teams have gone to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City and taken on Chesterfield at the Crown Meadow - it would be great for that to happen again."
