At last nights Active Waveney Sports Awards, Marcie Prettyman won the award of Sportswoman of the Year

The award crowned a fantastic night for Marcie Prettyman and the
Lowestoft Ladies, who also won the 'Team of the Year' award at the
presentation ceremony which was held at Rookery Golf Club last night.

It's been a truly remarkable season for the right-back, Marcie Prettyman who has not only played her part in the Lowestoft Ladies phenomenal season but who also collected the individual award for 'Suffolk's Player of the Season' back in June at an awards dinner held at Portman Road.

Prettyman has been an ever present member of the Lowestoft Ladies side since the team formed in 2011; when she was a player who initially never realised her full potential and lacked belief in herself. However, over recent season's she has developed fantastically as a player and now has a great level of belief and confidence in her own abilities. This has been affirmed by her not only being a main stay in the Lowestoft side but by numerous call-ups and appearances for the Suffolk FA ladies team
and now a number of richly deserved individual awards.

Unfortunately Marcie was unable to be there to collect her award last night and the award was collected on her behalf by team-mate Paige Shorten.

Lowestoft Town Football Club, the Lowestoft Ladies team and
Marcie Prettyman herself would like to thank the Active Waveney Sports Awards for their awards and a wonderful evening.

Everyone at Lowestoft Town Football Club are very proud to have Marcie Prettyman playing for our team and would like to congratulate her on this thoroughly deserved award.
