Lowestoft Town Ladies joint-manager Nathaniel Einecker is happy with the progress of a new and young Lowestoft Town Ladies side.

After their 5-2 home defeat against Enfield Town on Sunday, Daniel Burlingham caught up with manager Eineiker for a brief interview.

There were a few times that Lowestoft showed great presence and caused a threat to Enfield?
"My views on the game were that we adopted a new formation this week and it worked well considering the girls have never played this before. The first half we created chances but failed to take any and if we had I believe in the first half it would have been a completely different game. First half I think we were the better side and had some very good spells. The second half however we got tired, lost our shape and couldn't transition quick enough. We played some good football throughout the half but lacked that killer pass. The girls put all they had into the game with only having one sub but credit to Enfield second half as they came out a much better team than the first and took the three points".

The team has come on well since you have been in charge, what's the atmosphere like in the dressing room?
"Firstly thank you. Myself, Ricky and with your help also we have tried to bring in a professionalism about the team and the coaching staff at training and on a game day. The atmosphere in the dressing room has really lifted since the first game myself and Ricky came to and the girls are not just individuals but are now a team and as one. Togetherness is a word we like to use a lot in the dressing room as we believe together we can achieve more".

The average age in your squad is 17-18 years old compared to the more experienced and mature footballers you're facing in opposing sides. So you must be happy to have picked up some vital points against some good teams?
"That's correct, as most of our girls are 17 and we even have some that are 16. Playing at this level at such a young age can be tough and daunting but it also can be very exciting for a young player to play against top teams like Crystal Palace and Mk Dons. However, it also gives us as coaching staff a chance to develop them at such a young age. Although we have a lot of younger players we also have a few older and experienced players who help out the younger individuals. Yes we have picked up some vital points against more experienced teams, one being Ipswich Town where the girls didn't stop and showed great heart and desire to keep battling on and grab the equalizer in the 90th minute. This is where the togetherness comes into the team and working hard for one another. We tell our players this "Ask not what your team mates can do for you. Ask what you can do for your team mates" with this quote the girls are then not thinking about themselves but thinking about the team and that's what we are trying to build".

Lowestoft Town Ladies are continuing to develop and grow as a new side and face another test on Sunday when travelling to take on Gillingham in the Women's Premier League (2pm kick-off).
