Lowestoft Ladies continue their run of having won all of their league games, by making it fifteen wins with a 8-0 thumping of Colchester Town.

Having seen their planned match at Brentwood Town called off due to the opposition being unable to field a side; the Lowestoft Ladies were awarded an away win by the league. This prompted a quick decision to bring forward one of their remaining games and make the trip to second place Colchester Town for a morning kick-off.

The first half saw the Lowestoft team deliver a near flawless performance and four superb goals courtesy of Paige Shorten who is revelling in her new centre midfield role, Zoe Cossey and Hannah Waters who both worked tirelessly and Chelsea Clarke who showed she is a player with great vision and who was unfortunate to have a second goal undeservedly ruled out for offside.
The midfield trio of Amber Rowland, Chloe Hoffmann and Paige Shorten were totally dominant and carved out many more good scoring opportunities during the half.

The second half was another totally dominant performance and with Megan Cletheroe and Charnelle Riggall solid at the back it allowed both Marcie Prettyman and Anna Larkin to get forward and they did so very effectively.
However, the half belonged to one player; Natasha Thomas who scored all four second half goals and played with a real swagger.
It had been a complete performance in every aspect by the Lowestoft Ladies and to deliver this on such a hard and bumpy pitch was even more gratifying.

Special mention goes to Chloe Pierce whose distribution was a feature of her game and we hope she enjoys her 18th birthday. Also thanks to Peter and John for running the line in the game.

Next up for the team is an away trip to Leverstock Green on Sunday 26th April.
