Lowestoft Ladies 10 Stevenage Borough 2
Lowestoft Ladies make it three league wins from three with an emphatic 10-2 home win over Stevenage Borough.
Stevenage Borough were the visitors to the Crown meadow last Sunday as Lowestoft Ladies looked to build on their good start to the season.
Once again Lowestoft grabbed the early initiative and after eighteen minutes Natasha Thomas delivered a fine cross to Lauren Bullard who showed excellent technique to finish from just outside the area. Chloe Hoffman added a second on twenty-seven minutes from the penalty spot after Hannah Waters had been crudely hauled down by the visitors keeper. Two more goals on thirty-two and forty minutes for Hannah Waters and debutant Paige Shorten gave Lowestoft a comfortable 4-0 half team lead.
The second half proved very entertaining for those spectating with Stevenage scoring two goals and Lowestoft adding a further six goals to their tally with two goals for Hannah Waters to complete her hat-trick, two for Natasha Thomas, a fine solo effort from the irrepresible Zoe Cossey and a spectacular long range effort from Paige Shorten who had a mighty impressive debut to complete the rout.
Player of the Match: Natasha Thomas who had an excellent game.
Special mention this week also goes to three of last seasons U18's players; Molly Sims, Charnelle Riggall and Paige Baker who all performed excellently
Lowestoft Ladies are next in action this Sunday when they are at home to Billericay Town in the Womans FA Cup (1st Qualifying Round); 2pm kick-off.
