On a very bobbly pitch Cambridge United win the toss and get the game underway.
Early chance for Cambridge United (1st min) as Hewitt breaks down the right wing and drives across the box for Taylor at which Brogan calmly gets there first to stop a Cambridge opportunity. Lowestoft start to take shape as Brogan pumps the ball up field to Durrant, who brings the ball down superbly to play through Waters, but to no avail Crook rushes off her line to deny Waters in on goal.
(6th min) Crook feeds the ball out to Hewitt who exploits the right wing. To which the Ball is played To Mills down the right and gets the corner. Corner is driven in at height, Riggall meets the ball and does well to deny Cambridge as the ball deflects out for another corner. The ball is crossed in for a second time for Lowestoft keeper Brogan to calmly gather the ball.
Lowestoft begin to show lots of possession trying to break through the tough Cambridge defence. Lowestoft continue to show threat at the Cambridge goal as a Free kick is conceded by Cambridge on Davies just inside the U's half. Froud distributes the ball into the box to Waters but Crook comes out just in time to collect the ball to deny Lowestoft a good opportunity.
(18th min) Cambridge United Start to settle into the game, as Jenkins tests Brogan from 30 yards and mills coming close from a Hewitt cross. Goal kick to Lowestoft. Goal kick is pumped up field which is flicked onto Davies who gathers the ball well to dribble past 2 defenders to shoot at goal, to force Crook to make a save who parries the ball well.
Lowestoft continue to show threat on goal as the U's concede a corner from a solo effort from Moore who exploits down the right wing for the ball to deflect off the Cambridge fullback out of play. Corner is played quickly by Moore to Durrant, Cambridge quickly close the ball down to force the cross over the by-line and out for a U's Goal kick

Lowestoft begin the second half kicking from right to left.
(48th min) Durrant through ball to Waters but defended well by the U's defence who clears the ball out for a corner to deny Waters a goal. Corner taken well by Moore who delivers the ball into the box but is cleared again out for another corner for Lowestoft Town. Corner is delivered again into the box but is cleared out by the Cambridge defence and The U's counter, (51 mins) Hewitt gets the ball to break to mills who shoots up and over Brogan into the back of the net. Lowestoft continue to look to cause threat in the Cambridge half by keeping lots of possession and breaking down the U's defence. But to no advantage the chance is converted as the ball is played back to Everson who plays the ball back to Brogan with no pace and meets Logie who Shoots into the ground and it bobbles over Brogan and in the back of the net. Lowestoft Town make a change as Copeman replaces Gillett (80th min)
Lowestoft is awarded a free kick just inside Cambridge half. Froud steps up and fires straight at Crook to gather calmly. The U's begin to counter attack as a bobbled ball lands to Mills who shoots at goal at which is saved down low by Brogan. Another opportunity for Cambridge in the (87th min) as a ball put through the Lowestoft defence as Froud sprints back to make an important challenge to deny Cambridge a 4th.
