Trawlerboys to host Dulwich Hamlet in FA Trophy

Lowestoft Town have been drawn at home to Dulwich Hamlet in the first round qualifying of the FA Trophy.

The tie will take place on Saturday 29th October and will see the two Ryman Premier League sides face off at the home of the Trawlerboys, Crown Meadow.

Dulwich Hamlet finished in 5th place last season and won 1-0 at Bognor Regis Town in the semi-finals of the play-offs, before losing 3-1 at East Thurrock United in the final. They have been a side that have come close to promotion and suffered heartache on a number of occasions in the Ryman Premier League and will be stern opposition for Lowestoft Town, who were relegated back to the Ryman Premier League at the end of last season after two seasons in the Vanarama National League North.

The last time the two sides met was the season Lowestoft Town gained promotion from the Ryman Premier League, with the Trawlerboys putting in an fantastic performance in a 2-0 win at Crown Meadow on 21st December 2013 with goals from Sam Gaughran and Man of the Match Rossi Jarvis.

Please note:
* The draw for the early preliminary rounds of the FA Cup was also made today but didn't feature Lowestoft Town, who enter the competition at the first round qualifying stage on Saturday 3rd September 2016.
* The fixtures for the Ryman Premier League 2016/17 season will be out next Friday 15th July 2016.
