Lowestoft Town have been drawn away to Vanarama National League South side and old adversaries, Concord Rangers in the first round of the FA Trophy.

The two sides last crossed paths in the Ryman Premier League play-off final at Crown Meadow on 6th May 2013. It was a day of heartbreak for the Trawlerboys though with Concord Rangers winning promotion to the Conference with a 2-1 victory; inflicting a third successive play-off final loss for the blues.

The last meeting of the two sides at The Aspect Arena, however was on 26th February 2013 with Lowestoft Town trailing at the break but putting in a good second half performance to grab a 1-1 draw in Essex.

There have been changes on and off the pitch for Concord Rangers since then and one of those changes has seen the animated and well liked manager at the time, Danny Cowley moving on and now managing Vanarama National League outfit Braintree Town.

Lowestoft Town thumped St Albans City 4-0 with joint managers James Gray and Graham Golds resigned after the defeat on Saturday. While Concord Rangers reached the first round with a 3-1 win over their opponents from the same league, Sutton United.

Lowestoft Town currently sit in 18th place in the Vanarama National League North, while Concord Rangers sit in 8th place in the Vanarama National League South.
