Lowestoft Town are delighted to announce that Ryan Jarvis will join up with his brother Rossi at the Crown Meadow after agreeing a deal with the blues

The 28 year old striker has played at a high level throughout his career with a number of league clubs and will give blues manager Ady Gallagher even more fire power and options up front for his sides second season in the Vanarama National League North.

Ryan started out his career with Norwich City, becoming their youngest ever first team player when featuring against Walsall at the age of 16. He stayed with the Canaries until 2008, when after not having his contract renewed he moved to League One side Leyton Orient, where he spent three seasons and had a knack of scoring important goals. In his second season with the O’s he scored against relegation rivals Wycombe Wanderers on 1st May to not only secure his sides status in League One for another season but to relegate Wycombe to League Two. Then in his final season he came on as a substitute for the now well known Harry Kane against Peterborough United to score a stoppage time winner and keep Leyton Orient’s play-off hopes alive. At the end of the 2010/11 season Ryan was released by Leyton Orient and since than has continued to play at league level with the likes of Walsall, Torquay United and most recently York City.

He has also featured at an international level for the England U16’s, U17’s and U19’s and will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge from playing at league level throughout his career.

On speaking about the signing, Lowestoft Town manager Ady Gallagher said; "I'm delighted that Ryan has joined us. To have the opportunity to sign him at this stage of his career was an unexpected surprise and it was a chance that I couldn't turn down. Ryan had offers to play on in League 2 but preferred to bring his family home and link up with us. I was very impressed by Ryan during our discussions. It was clear that he really wanted to play for Lowestoft and link up with his brother Rossi and the many friends he already has here. Make no mistake about it though, he is still ambitious and wants his time here to be successful".

Everyone at Lowestoft Town Football Club would like to welcome Ryan Jarvis into the fold and we hope that he has a successful time with us and can play his part in the continued growth of our club.
