As the club prepare for the 2016/17 season back in the Ryman Premier League; the management team are currently speaking to existing players who are out of contract, while also looking at potential targets to bring into the club.

As part of those early movements and discussions, the club can now announce that Dean Mason, Robert Eagle and Elvijs Putnins will not be with the Trawlerboys next season.

Mason was out of contract at the end of the season and informed the management team that he wanted to find another club, closer to home. Speaking about the departure of Mason, first team manager Ady Gallagher said "The work rate of Deano made him a firm favourite with many supporters. He was always very professional and showed great commitment to travel in from London to train and play for the club. We wish him all the best for the future".

Likewise, Eagle was also out of contract at the end of the season but has not been offered a contract by the management team for next season. Speaking about the departure of Eagle and his time with the club, Gallagher said "Eag's is a great lad and he's given five years of fantastic service. Scoring the first goal in our play off victory against AFC Hornchurch gives him a fond place in the history of Lowestoft Town and his fantastic display in our recent Premier Cup success underlines his technical ability. I'd like to thank him for his service and wish him well for the future. I'm sure Robert will always be given a warm welcome at the Crown Meadow".

Putnins was brought into the Lowestoft Town squad towards the end of last season and has also not been offered a contract to play for the blues next season. Speaking about Putnins brief time with the club, Gallagher said "Elvijs was an excellent understudy to Ben Killip. We thank him for his service and wish him all the best with his next move".
