Comings and Goings (Player News)

Terry Bullen10 Jun 2015 - 20:38

It's that time of the year, when football clubs see comings and goings and it's no different at Lowestoft Town with a number of movements taking place

Following Jack Ainsley signing a new contract at the end of last season, the club are delighted to announce that both winger Dean Mason and striker Bradley Woods-Garness have also signed new contracts with the club.

Negotiations are continuing with those players who are out of contract but the club can confirm that midfielder Dawid Radomski has been released and we would like to thank him for his time with us and wish him all the best for the future.
The club and manager, Ady Gallagher have also worked hard to offer fair deals and terms of employment to out of contract goalkeeper Ashlee Jones and defender Curtis Haynes-Brown. However, an agreement could not be sort and with Lowestoft Town not wishing to deter from their budgetary restraints, wage structure and expectations; both of these players have now left the club. Both Ashlee Jones and Curtis Haynes-Brown have played a big part in the success of the blues in recent times and in their promotion to the National League Conference North. Ady Gallagher and everyone involved at Lowestoft Town Football Club would like to say a huge thank you to both players and we wish them all the best for the future.

In regards to Omar Sowunmi; the towering defender enjoyed his time with the club and played a big part in the clubs performance last season in retaining their place at conference level. It was therefore no surprise that on the back of his success with us last season a number of higher level clubs offered trials to Sowunmi and as a result he will now be plying his trade and continuing his development at a higher level. The club would like to thank Sowunmi for his time at the club and we wish him all the best in his career.

As is the case every close season, the club and Ady Gallagher are currently working hard to agree new deals with out of contract players. On top of this Gallagher is putting a substantial amount of effort into improving his squad with new players, who want to play for the club and who share in our ambitions. As is always the case though, good quality players are hard to come by and in most cases have several clubs making them offers. Therefore and much like in previous years, the club will not make any statements about new players until everything is officially in place.

Any future player movements will be announced when appropriate.
