Lowestoft Town finally conceded the Ryman League title to Whitehawk last night with a goaless draw at Wealdstone.

Lowestoft Town finally conceded the Ryman League title to Whitehawk last night – while making a firm step towards clinching home advantage for both rounds of the play-offs.

A scoreless draw away to their big rivals for second place means that a win in either of their final two fixtures – at Wingate & Finchley tomorrow night or at home to Hendon on Saturday, will assure them not only of a home semi-final against the fifth-placed team next midweek, but also, should they go through, a Crown Meadow final on Bank Holiday Monday.

Having failed to get the win they badly needed in a game of few chances, third-placed Stones are now looking over their shoulders at Concord Rangers, who are a point behind the Londoners from the same number of games.

East Thurrock pushed themselves in to the final play-off spot after a 2-0 home win over Hendon but still have Met Police and Canvey Island breathing down their necks.
