With Lowestoft looking like the heroics of their keeper had earned them a point, the home faithful were sent wild with an unexpected winner for the Trawlerboys, two minutes into the three minutes of stoppage time. Smith delivered from the left and with Cole seeing his effort come back off the woodwork and go across goal, Rossi Jarvis was at hand to sneak in a deflected winner through a crowded area and in off the post.
