Man of the Match - Erkan Okay
Summary:-
Lowestoft Town went into the match setting up with five in midfield and Bammant as a lone striker up top. The game was fairly evenly matched in the opening fifteen minutes with Lowestoft taking the lead during that time through Erkan Okay. However, Hyde grew with confidence as the match went on and with a good tempo to their passing and both wingers excelling, Hyde went in at the break 2-1 ahead through goals from Almond and Blakeman. In the second half Lowestoft had a ten minute spell in which they pinged the ball around in midfield but could never find a final product and even with a change of formation and players, the threat the blues posed was minimal. Hyde maintained a good level of football throughout with forwards Bentham and Gray, along with wingers Almond and Hughes proving a continual threat. Three further goals for the home side from Brizell, Bentham and Brizell again, capped a fine win for Hyde and a miserable day for the Trawlerboys.
