Lowestoft Town named trialists Josh Glover (goalkeeper), Joel Glover (forward) and Harley Black (midfielder) in their squad in a testing match against National League outfit Braintree Town, in which the blues put in a solid showing and were only denied a great result by two late goals. Braintree Town were also lucky not to have been forced to played the last third of the match with ten men, with Cheek kicking out at Fisk for what would have been a certain straight red if not for the match being a friendly.

1-0 Lowestoft Town Goal (6 mins)
A Ryan Jarvis corner from the right picked Fisk out on the edge of the box and with him hitting his shot into the ground and getting a slight deflection on route, Lowestoft grabbed an early lead with a very rare Fisk goal.

Stunning save (41 mins)
A stunning close-range save by trialist Josh Glover denied Braintree Town from pulling level.

1-1 Braintree Town Goal (45+ mins)
From fully 30-yards out, Lee hits a screamer that gives Josh Glover no chance in the Lowestoft goal and levels the match at 1-1. Great strike!

2-1 Braintree Town Goal (85 mins)
A squared ball along the deck from the byline is tapped in with easy from just a few yards out by Akinola, to give Braintree the lead.

3-1 Braintree Town Goal (87 mins)
All too easy for Braintree, as a tiring Lowestoft allow Galliford to get a shot away unchallenged to stroke it home for 3-1.

Lowestoft Town are next in action on Tuesday night, when they make the short trip to Emerald Park to take on non-league friends Gorleston (7:45pm kick-off)
