The match was not as even as the affair on Sunday against Luton Town but the scoreline did slightly flatter a full strength League Two Cambridge United side. The U's undoubtedly deserved their win though and showed pace and quality throughout against Lowestoft; who did carve out opportunities of their own but were given a tough test in another good run out for the blues.

Goals:-
Cambridge United (28 mins)

Following a tussle between Coor and Rossi Jarvis outside the area, from which a free-kick could have easily been given for the blues. Coor gets into the area and after initially being thwarted by the feet of Jessup, he's able to get a foot on it again while on the deck to stab home for 1-0 (28 mins).

Cambridge United (31 mins)
A two-on-one situation saw Carr and Berry get the better of Smith but with Carr missing an open goal and cracking the ball against the post, the blues looked like escaping. However, Carr picked up the follow up and struck it past Jessup and against the post again, but this time it was the inside of the post and into the net for 2-0 (31 mins).

Lowestoft Town (77 mins)
Man of the Match, Marsden gets forward down the right and zips a great ball across the face of goal for Eagle to slide in for 2-1 (77 mins).

Cambridge United (83 mins)
With the ball coming into the six yard box, Coulson heads across goal and in for 3-1.

Cambridge United (87 mins)
Rossi Jarvis doesn't get it clear with the ball landing at his feet and Craddock steals in to get onto it and make it 4-1.

Lowestoft Town are next in pre-season action on Saturday, when they entertain Gorleston (3pm kick-off). The game is FREE ENTRY and will also be the second day of our three day LTFC Beer Festival with plenty of ales and ciders on offer at unbeatable prices!
