Lowestoft Town took to the field in their new home kit, yet again naming a squad that contained a handful of trialists that included the Polish Radomski and Lukasik and also the Welsh league player Mills. For Wroxham their squad contained ex-blues Matt Halliday and Jamie Forshaw on the bench and Christy Finch in the starting line-up.

The first half saw a good start by Lowestoft with some high tempo passing in the opening exchanges and Louis starting where he left off last Saturday, working hard and putting in some nice touches right the way across the forward line.
It was Louis that Eagle found when taking a free-kick from the left side of the box but from two yards out the powerhouse of a forward couldn't quite get enough height on his leap and glanced a header wide of the target. It wasn't long before Lowestoft took the lead though and following a few balls being sent into the Wroxham box and not being fully cleared, Louis provided a touch that dropped to Bammant close in and he finished with ease to send Lowestoft 1-0 ahead (21 mins).
Bammant was visibly working hard and putting himself about with great strength in his play, while the Lowestoft midfield looked comfortable and Haynes-Brown looked fit and sharp, sweeping up well at the back whenever anything did come forward from Wroxham.
Thirty minutes had passed and Wroxham were giving Lowestoft too much space, with the blues dutifully lapping it up and moving the ball around really well with some slick, one-touch passes.
The only scare of the half for Lowestoft came when Smith misjudged a header and Wroxham squared a ball across goal but Lowestoft were able to see the danger behind.
Lowestoft continued to impose themselves as half-time approached, with Smith sitting one up after good work down the left to get to the by-line and finding Louis on the penalty spot but his header was straight down the keepers throat. Moments later and just before the break a long kick by Jessup saw the impressive Louis hold off three men to brilliantly find Bammant but his dipping effort just wouldn't drop the right side of the crossbar.

During the break Lowestoft replaced Gleeson with Okay, who had taken a knock in the first half and as a result Jarvis was moved alongside Haynes-Brown in central defence. Wroxham had also made a change with Halliday given the unenviable task of marking Louis in the Lowestoft attack.
Wroxham were out of the blocks in a flash for the second period, with a good break down the left that saw a ball whipped across the box, forcing Smith at full stretch to divert the ball looping up and over the crossbar.
Wroxham were certainly seeing more of the ball this half and the main instigator for them was Remy Gordon (son of Dale Gordon), who was powering down the flanks and imposing himself across the Wroxham front line. Lowestoft Town looked fairly comfortable though and made two changes in quick succession as Marsden and Mills replaced Henderson and Bammant with just under thirty minutes to play.
Wroxham were no longer affording Lowestoft the space they had in the first half and the match was becoming a much tighter affair, with most of the play being contained to the middle of the pitch and the free flowing football from Lowestoft being restricted.
After impressing in the first half a tiring Louis was replaced by polish substitute Radomski with fifteen minutes left and it wasn't long before the Lowestoft subs started to work hard and give Lowestoft a second wind for the final ten minutes of the match.
Lukasik replaced Haynes-Brown, with the defender taking a slight knock to his back but Lowestoft held the upper hand going into the final minutes and very nearly doubled their lead when Eagle sent a fizzing shot from distance just past the post.

It had been another great run out for Lowestoft Town and some important minutes for the squad to increase their match fitness and sharpen themselves up for the season ahead.

Lowestoft Town are next in action this Tuesday, when they travel to Dereham Town (7:45pm kick-off).
