“Of course it would be better for us if it was on a Saturday, but that’s the way the fixtures have come out and we’ll be going there to try and win the game.”
The Blues will monitor the fitness of defender Scott Mitchell and striker Matt Nolan, who both came off in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Hendon with tight hamstrings. Greg Crane has the same injury and Chapman added: “The physio is working on the injured players and we’ll assess them, but whatever happens we’ll be taking a strong squad. None of the players have pulled their hamstrings, they are just a bit tight and you have to be really careful with that type of injury.”
Chapman believes the Blues were unlucky to lose on Saturday, but he admits there is room for improvement: “We can sharpen up mentally in the attacking third and in our defending as well,” he said. “We are all aware that we’ve got to stop giving silly goals away.
“But we’ve got a good quality bunch of players and we’ve all been around long enough to know that you have spells like this.
“We’ve still got a third of our games left and if we stick together, things will turn.”
