Lowestoft Town Football Social Club are pleased to offer
a variety of entertainment for 2008. Now that the Club has
been refurbished, we are going all out to make the function
room a regular venue for entertainment for our members and
their guests, and we welcome your ideas for future events.
We have a good old fashioned
Barn Dance scheduled on Friday
12th September which will be as authentic as we can
make it, including bales of hay, hot dogs, burgers etc and
prizes for the best dressed. We will have our own MC taking
us through the various dance routines and a disco in between.
Brace yourself, get ready to go - spin your partner to and
fro (hope you're feeling fit)!

Thursday 18th September sees the return of
Stephanie Carr, the Clairvoyant who proved such a success
earlier this year - Stephanie even managed to win over the
biggest non-believer, who happens to be on the Committee!

Saturday 22nd November we are holding a retro disco, covering
music from the 70s and 80s. Please dress for the period
if you choose - there will be a prize for best dressed.
There will also be a dance-off, John Travolta style, so
if you think you have what it takes, start practising.

On Sunday 7th December we welcome England International
Darts Player, Kevin Painter. We have booked Kevin for a
Sunday afternoon / evening so we have lots of time to watch
him doing what he does best. Sixteen local players can also
challenge him and there will be other boards set up for
players to practice on before taking Kevin on.

Additionally, in December we will be hosting party lunches
and party nights. Dates will be confirmed in the near future,
so if you and some friends want somewhere to get together
with good food, great atmosphere and even better prices,
watch this space.
New Years Eve will be the culmination of all we have strived
to achieve in 2008, with a fantastic party, based on the
James Bond Theme, to give us all the excuse to really dress
up. There will be a superb buffet, disco, party favours,
big screen tv to see in the New Year with Big Ben, Champagne
at midnight and the best raffle we have ever done. The first
prize, kindly donated by Hoseasons, is the choice of one
of their lodges anywhere in England for a short break Monday
to Friday or Friday to Monday except Bank Holiday weekends
and subject to availability.

We think you will agree this is a great start to the relaunch
of the Social Club and we haven't finished yet. We already
have Monkey Spanner and Matrix lined up for 2009 and lots
of other ideas in the melting pot.
Tickets for all events can be purchased in the Social Club
or from Tarrants Property Services office at 20 Beach Road,
Lowestoft (just up from Godfreys Car Park).
