Lowestoft Town FC - Headline -- Bury come out on top
Lowestoft Town’s last pre-season friendly finished in an odd goal of three defeat away to Bury Town last Saturday. Bury made the brighter start to the game earning a string of corners before taking a 6th minute lead, Andrew Tidswell taking advantage of slack defensive play to shoot past Andy Reynolds.
Lowestoft came more into the game and levelled the scores in the 13th minute. Reece Hunn was brought down in the area by Nunn for Adam Smith to convert the penalty. The Blues looked the sharper side for the rest of the first half but could not find the back of the net.
Lowestoft conceded a second goal 4 minutes after the break, substitute Kearns again benefiting from slack defence. The Blues were then hit by successive injuries to Matthew Halliday and Adam Smith with teenagers Chris Bond and Louis Cutajar substituting.
