Lowestoft Town FC - Headline -- Town hold Blues
Lowestoft Town included former Peterborough, Kings Lynn and Corby midfielder Scott Mitchell in their starting line up against a predominantly Reserve strength Ipswich Town eleven in front of 653 spectators on Saturday.
In an evenly contested game Ipswich created the better chances in the first half with striker Rosendaal prominent. For Lowestoft Ross King went close with a header from Craig Bussens cross. Ipswich opened the scoring in the 41st minute with the ball played back into the danger zone from the left and Rosendaal rising high to head home at the far post.
Lowestoft came more into the game in the second half with Scott Mitchell firing a 30 yard rocket a foot too high. The equaliser came in the 72nd minute with Richard Woodrow seeing keeper McLoughlin off his line and from 25 yards sent a delightful chip over the keeper into the top far corner of the goal.
