The club can confirm the signing of 20-year-old attacking midfielder Jake Chambers-Shaw from Mildenhall Town.

The ex-Cambridge United youngster made 35 appearances last season for Mildenhall, scoring seven goals.

Jake said: "I'm very happy to have signed. It's a new opportunity for me and I can't wait to start the season now. I met Jamie and he was a big factor in the move, I think Lowestoft is a big club and I can't wait to get started!

"I'm a playmaker primarily. I like to create goals just as much as I like scoring them so I'm looking forward to bringing that to the team."

Jake started his career with Cambridge United and joined the U's at the age of 9. He appeared in the first team in pre-season matches but was unfortunately unable to force his way into the starting line-up in a competitive match.

Manager Jamie Godbold added: "I am delighted to capture the signing of Jake. He is an exciting attacking player that creates and scores goals. He's had a fantastic upbringing at Cambridge United and the experiences he had last year at Mildenhall will have been excellent for his development. We welcome Jake to the club and am sure he will be a big success."

The new Trawlerboy has a history of scoring against big teams having scored against Bayern Munich in a U14's indoor futsal tournament in Germany.

Jake once again links up with another former Mildenhall player in Josh Curry who joined the Trawlerboys earlier this month.
