Recently, Sean Galea-Pace caught up with striker Shaun Bammant on the season ahead.

How has pre-season been for you so far?
It's still early days but it's been good getting to know the new lads. It's nice for us all to get together and do the hard sessions but also get to know each other at the same time.

How much of a decision was it for you to remain at the club?
It wasn't a difficult one but I had a lot to consider. Obviously it's been a hard couple of seasons at the club but Godders has come in and has talked about a lot of positive things. He's made me believe in what he's said and it's really inspired me to put my name to the cause and give it a good go!

You struggled a little with injury last campaign, how important is this pre-season to really build your fitness?
Probably the last two pre-seasons I've struggled with a recurring injury. But touchwood, there's no signs of it so far. It will be nice to get a full pre-season under my belt and get a run of games in the side to go into the season feeling fit.

Last season was a difficult one for everyone involved at the club. With the new management team in place, how much do you feel like its a fresh start for everyone?
Everyone can definitely feel positive ahead of the new season! Last year, Brooksie did an amazing job to keep us up and a lot of credit has to go his way. I 100% believe that Godders and Reyns are the right people to do the job, it's not an easy task and there's a long way to go but I believe we've got the right set-up to be successful!

What are your personal aims for the season ahead?
It's important that I stay fit, play well and that we all gel as a team. I'd also like to get amongst the goals and play up front!
