Speaking with Sam a few hours ago, he stated that he never wanted to leave the club in the first instance.
"It was solely down to my studies and travelling to university, two hours each-way. My parents have moved closer to Lowestoft, which makes it a lot easier and I'm fully commited to Lowestoft. I'm going to carry on with my studies and I'm looking forward to training on Friday."
The return to the club of Gaughran gives the Trawlerboys a big boost and good quality to the defensive area as the build up to the new season draws ever closer.
With training starting on Friday and the first pre-season game only just under 3 weeks away against Romford at Crown Meadow, I'm sure
we will see a few more new faces getting a trial and trying to impress the management to earn a contract for the forthcoming season.
