News from around the Meadow.

. Russell Stock will stay at Kirkley & Pakefield for the remainder of this season. We wish him well.

. Tuesday 10th January was a special night in the Suffolk Premier Cup for 16 year old Harvey Hodd - he made his Lowestoft Town debut. Harvey, a midfielder, played a solid game and showed good vision when passing. His first touch was good for someone so young, and he looked comfortable on the ball. Hopefully he will feature in the Alan Boon Cup against Canvey Island on the 17th, and could get Ryman League games before the season has finished.

. Former Norwich City and recently released Grimsby Town midfielder, Robert Eagle, played 90 minutes for the Trawlerboys as well, allowing the club to have a closer look at him. Eagle made an impressive start, scoring in the 1st minute of the game against Kirkley & Pakefield. He was well involved, taking free kicks and corners, and on first impressions, could be a solid addition to the squad if the club decide to offer him a contract. He may well feature against Canvey Island next Tuesday at Crown Meadow.

. Lowestoft Town have no game this weekend. They should have been entertaining East Thurrock Utd, but they are unavailable to us as they are competing in the FA Trophy today. So you can have a weekend at home or possibly take in another local game.
